Home Care Companions is an organization with a tiny staff (two!) and a huge mission -- to teach basic, practical nursing skills to families, friends and partners -- so that their loved ones can thrive at home. For the past eleven years, Bay Area caregivers have come to rely on Home Care Companions' FREE classes. It hasn't been easy to operate on a shoestring for all these years, but we've been blessed. By hundreds of volunteers who have helped us run the place. By colleagues who give of their time and energy so generously -- to help us reach and teach caregivers. And by a growing number of foundations and corporations who recognize valuable services and "bang for the buck" when they see it.
At Home Care Companions, we receive no government funding. We still rely on individuals -- just like you -- to support caregivers in need. Your donation makes a difference. Here's exactly what you donation can mean.
$50 means . . . a caregiver can get their own copy of our skills manual "The Caregiver's Companion" so that they'll have useful information at their fingertips when they need it.
$100 means . . . 3 caregivers can learn how to help loved ones control common symptoms & side effects
$250 means . . . 500 Bay Area neighbors can get information about our upcoming trainings
$500 means . . . a caregiver in need can receive HCC's entire 18 hours of life-changing training for FREE.
